Two science books that changed my worldview forever

Confession: I’m a bookworm. At the end of a long day, I love nothing more than to immerse myself in a fascinating book or magazine. These days my favorite reading materials include The Atlantic, Smithsonian Magazine, and books about history, culture, or the Bible.

Back in my high school days, two books played a pivotal role in sparking my love for creation science. The first was Censored Science: The Suppressed Evidence, by Bruce Malone. The second was The Ultimate Proof of Creation, by Jason Lisle. If you like to read articles on The Creation Club, then you will almost certainly enjoy reading these two books.

Censored Science is a colorful, engaging, high-quality book that summarizes scientific evidence that is difficult for evolutionists to explain. I first discovered Malone’s book while flipping through a Christian Book Distributors catalog seven or eight years ago, and—after ordering it and reading it—decided it was one of the most interesting books I had ever read. It makes a great coffee-table book to spark discussions with friends and family.

The Ultimate Proof of Creation provides a fascinating foray into science and logic. In it, Lisle defends the viability of the biblical worldview and shows not only how laws of logic can be used to defend the Christian faith but also how the orderly, logical nature of our universe bears witness to God. Back in high school when I first read it, I was especially impressed by Lisle’s argument that the uniformitarian worldview is based on circular reasoning.

Looking back, I recognize that these two books played a pivotal role in sparking my fascination with creation science. So whether you are a curious teenager like I was back then or an older veteran in the creation science community, I hope you will consider reading these two books and considering their thought-provoking messages.
