For who in the skies above can compare with the LORD?

Once, on a drive home from church, I noticed gas prices went up again. My first thought was:
God isn’t a gouger; He’s a Giver.
He made everything. And anything we make is comprised of what He’s created. He owns everything; and yet, He saves us and shares with us.
God isn’t greedy, God is generous.
God made my mind too. The reason I get what my husband calls “the thousand word stare” is because I’m a writer. The Lord designed me to be a thinker, tinker, and writer of thoughts. And although I was once belittled for having a busy mind, God intended me to be busy writing words for and about Him.
For 2020, I have chosen beauty as my focus word of the year for my personal journal writing. Photographing creation inspires me to consider the beauty of the Lord. When I contemplate how marvelous He must be to have created such amazing things on earth, it leads me to worship God with my whole heart.

is it helps us not get bogged down and blue
about the not so beautiful stuff happening
around us and in the news

for His marvelous works are all around
so His character may be understood.

Once again, beautiful and edifying thoughts, photos and words Wendy! So true that God is a giver and not a gouger. Take the tithe (actually, don’t take it, give it, lol). Some declare the audacity of God to ask us to give of our “own” hard earned money. But consider this: He asks for ten percent, BUT ALLOWS US TO KEEP NINETY PERCENT! That is not a gouger! He is way more generous than any of us. And besides that, it all belongs to Him anyway. So in reality, He asks us to give 10% of His back to Him, and lets us keep 90% of what is His. God is great and your words and photos certainly give Him the glory He deserves. Thanks for writing! William
