Can We Trace Noah’s Sons Through their Y Chromosomes?

If, let’s say, there are two or three different versions, they could be extremely similar — maybe only one letter off — or, they could be very different — maybe 100 letters different. Or two of them could be very similar, and one of them could be very different. The number of possibilities here is profound.

So, when we’re trying to put our finger on a point and say that’s where Noah is on the tree, we might not actually be identifying Noah. There’s too much going on.

An interesting addition to these factors is to consider the ramifications presented by the RATE Project of 20 years ago, from the The Institute for Creation Research. The Radioisotopes and the Age of The Earth Project trying to explain radiometric dating in the young Earth context. They used a lot of data to conclude there must have been a burst of radioactive decay during the Flood year. Specifically of the elements that release alpha particles, not beta or gamma. Alpha emitters are the ones that decayed quickly.

There’s good evidence for  this, but if it’s true, then the occupant on the ark might have been eradiated their gonads — might have been nuked their reproductive cells — might have picked up a lot of extra mutations — because of the burst of radiation. So, we might have started with Shem, Ham, and Japheth having the same exact Y chromosomes and then their gonads get radiated and the Y chromosome lineages inside their gonads might change.

While the brothers might have had the same Y chromosome while their sons, such as Arphaxad and Canaan and the rest of their sons and grandsons might had radically different Y chromosomes

Or, maybe the flood waters shielded them from the decay going on in the crust of the earth and they didn’t actually get a lot of radiation? But there’s other evidence that the Earth has shifted its  magnetic field multiple times in Earth’s history. If that happened, it had to happen during the flood year. And, every time the North and South Pole flip, it means Earth’s magnetic field has collapsed.

And when the earth magnetic field collapses collapses, charged cosmic rays can now enter the atmosphere, we lose a protection of the magnetic field, and if you get a burst of charged particles flooding through the atmosphere. Te life forms on the Earth are going to get radiated so that’s another way to get radiation into Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
