Today’s video is an excerpt from our ongoing series dramatizing the conditions young people face in science class and what it could look like to expose the root beliefs of both creation and evolution.
“Darwin’s finches demonstrated that natural selection could result in finches adapting to their environment over time, eventually leading to new species being formed, proving the idea of vertical evolution.
‘But now, science has proved Darwin wrong. Because the ability for a creature to pass down changes to the next generation is already built into the genetic code as part of God’s design. It has nothing to do with natural selection. They don’t evolve into other kinds. They just vary within their own kind to better suit their environment.
“Researchers saw changes in finch beak shapes and sizes within just a few generations. For Darwin’s theory to be correct, and for one species to evolve into another species, adaptation should happen slowly and alter the genetic code. But that doesn’t happen.”
