Origin Science and Technology

My recent review of Ray Comfort’s Evolution vs. God on my blog has stirred up quite a bit of controversy from atheists. It’s very probable that there are atheists watching the hashtags and keywords on twitter and other networks searching for people to attack. But among the atheists that have commented on my articles and other content is a common accusation. They all claim that the technology that I’m using was made possible by evolutionary science.

Take this one atheists comment (I won’t make you read the whole thing):

You’re happy to use your computer to send out posts like this, but you refuse to accept the implications of the science behind all the technology you enjoy. Living in willful ignorance. It’s just pathetic.

And Bill Nye’s statement on his recent appearance on the Late Night Show:

“The Facebooking and the Tweeting and the Instagramming, all that would not exist without our understanding of science.”

So both this atheist and Bill Nye are accusing me of using the technology supposedly made with the same kind of science that came up with evolution. It’s no small secret that I like to use the technology available to us and redeem it for the glory of God. Not using a camera because some people use it for pornography doesn’t make much sense—it doesn’t have to be used that way, and wasn’t created for that purpose.

So did origin science create technology? To answer that I’m going to introduce a new concept: origins are not really science. We can use the same scientific methods that we use to make computers, rockets, and medicine to make observations about the past. That’s where origin science comes from.

However, as we know from Darwin’s experiments; origin science is unreliable and based widely on speculation. When Darwin observed the Galapagos finches, he was using scientific methods to conduct his research. However, when he took it a big step backwards to say that the same kind of changes that he was observing could also change kinds as well he had to assume many factors. Then Darwin had to assume that evidence for evolution would be found in the fossil record before too long. It’s been over 200 years and there’s still no evidence.

Also, atheists are guilty of what they’re accusing us of. Isaac Newton regularly gave credit to God for his discoveries and achievements. He said that everything he discovered was in answer to prayer. If it’s thanks to Newton’s belief in God that he made the discoveries that he made, atheists shouldn’t be able to benefit from Newton’s discoveries. In fact, atheists shouldn’t be able to even believe in gravity!

Now I’m not advocating atheistic leaps of faith or any kind of censored science. My point is the exact same thing that Bill Nye couldn’t comprehend when Ken Ham told him it. You can be a creationist or an atheist and still be a great scientist.

Be sure to check out my review of Evolution vs. God. Despite the comments I’ve received, I still totally recommend it.
And be sure to check out this new video on my YouTube channel called the Big Bang vs. Science for more information and uncensored science.
