A Geology Field Trip to El Paso

These are part of a set of compression wrinkles that were caused by the flood of Noah’s time when this continent merged into another continental plate at very high speed that eventually caused the Rocky Mountains that you are viewing today.

I think the greatest lesson out of all this is that even in judgment God can bring beauty out of this kind of judgment. This is what he wants to do with all of our lives: he wants to bring beauty out of our sin when we are redeemed through the blood of Jesus. This is a truth that is available to all of us!
