And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, Matthew 19:4
My message this week speaks primarily to any Christian who would agree with me that Jesus is the sinless Son of God.
Some say that you can believe in God, even in the Bible, and still accept evolution. They attempt to persuade us that at the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter.
My friends and fellow believers, it DOES matter. And it matters quite a lot. We as Christians are surrounded by compromise. Many Christians are prepared and even willing to compromise when questions arise as to their beliefs.
Most of you would agree that this was not the model of the disciples and apostles. This was definitely not the model of our Savior, Jesus Christ. The disciples were often ridiculed and even persecuted for standing strong in their beliefs.
Jesus never backed down with questions as to the validity of the Scriptures. His appropriate answer should be ours today: “Have ye not read this scripture?”
The accounts given by Moses in Genesis are historical in nature, whether it be the flood of Noah, the journeys of Abraham, or the destruction of the Cities of the Plain. They are not allegorical guides or mythical fables. The Creation account is no exception.
Jesus Himself said that: “Had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?”
God IS faithful, and the Scripture of Truth will prevail over the theories of man.
The attempts to conform vast ages of time with the Biblical six day creation cannot triumph.
