Proof for the Big Bang, or Just Cosmic Dust Bunnies?

The Big Bang is a necessary component of any serious explanation of the universe that leaves God out of it. But the observable cosmos doesn’t cooperate with its requirements too well. Today we’re considering an attempted solution to the “Horizon problem” that slowly got dropped as being just misinterpreted space dust—but not before a Nobel Prize was thrown into the mix.
