We’ve got mammals, with their fur, milk, and live births, and we’ve got reptiles with their cold blood, scales, and eggs. But what about those kind of in between, like the platypus? The evolutionists assume these are transitional forms, evolving from one class of animals to a new one. They see them as a “slam dunk argument for for evolution,” right? You know, that they kind of prove evolution.
And like you say, creationists spend a huge amount of time thinking about writing about transitional forms, mostly to try and say they’re not really transitional at all. And, since he’s a creationist, I’m sure our guest is going to tell us why he doesn’t like the term, “mammal-like” reptiles. But in evolutionary terms, the mammal-like reptiles are the kinds of fossils that span the reptile to mammal transition in in the fossil record. So, that’s going to be the focus of today’s episode.
