Merriam Webster defines religion as: “A cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith.”
Evolutionists believe many things…
- They believe that there was a non-guided Big Bang 14 billion years ago.
- They believe that this proposed event caused the formation of all of the stars and planets.
- They believe that humans evolved over millions of years from a chance mixture of all of the right elements.
However, the dictionary indicates that, to be a religion, these beliefs must be held to with faith. Isn’t evolution fact?
Well, not any of those beliefs are fact. Good, empirical science is observable and repeatable. No one witnessed a big bang 14 billion years ago, and we haven’t been able to duplicate anything like it through laboratory testing.
There have never to date been any confirmed, observable reports of a star forming. This would take thousands or millions of years to actually document, is highly theoretical, and taken by faith.
We have never been able to create life from non-life in the laboratory, despite millions upon millions of tests in the most favorable conditions possible. This is also a faith-based belief.
All of these beliefs take a lot of faith, and their proponents hold to them with ardor.
What does that make evolution?
