Math Gives Us a Unique Way to Worship Jesus

[Editor’s note from Cheri Fields, homeschool mom:

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
And he is before all things, and by him all things consist [are sustained, held together].
And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
For it pleased [the Father] that in him should all fulness dwell; Colossians 1:16-19

I have used Kathrine’s math books with my middle school students personally and it is a delight to experience mathematics being transformed from simply a ‘safe’ (not even always true) subject I can buy at a secular store into something so clearly and positively Christian.

The way she looks at mathematics as more than just the ‘facts’ is just the beginning. All learning, whether history, science, or even practical skills can follow this same principle. And once you begin to see Jesus’ hand in every area, it gets easier and easier to spot him in the tiniest details!]
